We have a lot to talk about - I have my first crop in the ground. HELL YEAH.
BUT...
I am almost flat broke - as I write this I have $1,965 to my name, clearly I cannot wait until my crop is ready to harvest (wheat) so I need to make some quick money. I have a plan but I will come back to that in a bit.
Now if you are a farmer you will know setting up a farm from scratch is NOT a cheap project and although I had a decent balance to work with I still had to be careful and definitely could not buy the equipment that I really wanted - to that end getting this crop down was hard.
REALLY. BLOODY. HARD.
But you know what? I feel so good right now knowing that I have a crop in the ground and yeah I may be VERY short on cash right now but that will change.

So yeah that's why I am seriously hurting financially. So what is my plan to make some money?
Two birds with one stone
So the trees were a real pain while I was putting in my crop and I figure that I can cut them down and sell them to the sawmill to make some money and also clear a lot of space at the same time. I've zero idea how much I can sell them for but at this point anything is better than nothing. I was hoping to move out of the hotel but that wont happen with the cash I have left - hell I don't even have enough to feed myself and buy petrol until the field is ready for harvest.
I also need to start thinking about storing the farm equipment properly before winter hits, the last thing I need is damaged gear. I was looking around a couple of days ago and really want to put a concrete road and also concrete over a section of land down by the river but like everything else that costs money.
Look it probably seems like this is a negative rant but its really not I am just laying it out as it - really and truly I am feeling positive and excited every time I look at my field.
