Dear journal...it REALLY is a wonderful life - I promise I will stop with all the Christmas season stuff soon(ish). But I have had a wonderful week, I really have.
I can't say I have done a great deal this week in all honesty - I checked in with the crew and they continue to amaze me with how fast they work, the last couple of buildings are almost done and the other additions I ordered are now on site as well.
Exciting times.
With both fields planted and the yard coming on leaps and bounds I spent most of the week in town - It's way too cold to do a great deal anyway so mostly I have been enjoying some trips to the coffee shop (and getting some good reading done) and some Christmas shopping.
Yeah I don't have any family to buy for - family that would want to see me anyway - but I picked a few little bits for Chuck and the guys, they are as close to family as I have these days, and I got something for Betty. After all she has done for me with the grant money I had to do something to show my appreciation. I also picked up a little something to bring a bit of festive cheer to the caravan.
It may not be much but it's something and it is mine
And you know what journal? I felt really good to be buying Christmas gifts for someone else.
I t has been a long, long time since I bought anyone a Christmas gift and to that end practically forever since I put up a Christmas decoration - I wont be wining any awards for best decorated but it's a start.
I am infused with Christmas spirt - who would've thought it...
