I WON - I got the news yesterday that my bid was the winning bid.
OMG.
I have a field - I am still pinching myself to make sure I'm not dreaming.
The future starts now
But...
As eager as I am to get started on the next phase of my life I won't get out there until after Christmas - I mean I started packing things up in readiness but obviously I didn't do too much in case I didn't win the bid.
And I have people here that I want to say goodbye to properly. And its not like I could do a great deal right now, I need to sort out a place to live if nothing else and I definitely wouldn't be farming in December anyway.
The plan as it stands is to take care of everything up here and head Riverbend in the first week of January - hopefully with somewhere to stay, I saw a guest house when I visited previously but I would really prefer to get something lined up before I get there.
Then I am going to need some farming equipment and I am on a budget so I can't afford to just go out on a shopping spree.
I won't lie it will take some work and some planning but I am looking forward to it, farming is in my blood and I have never been afraid of a hard days work. I aim to have a working farm - in its most basic form to start with - by mid January.
Wish me luck...
