Good News - Silverrun Forest Episode 12

Published on 15 September 2024 at 12:26

I'm ready to spill the beans - like I don't already know. LOL

What I mean to say is I am ready to share with you dear diary, and with you - future diary readers. So as you already know Betty was pretty keen to speak to me and boy am I glad I saw her before I went on my break.

Betty - my new favourite person in Silverrun

So anyway Betty was going through some ordinances and saw something that she thought would benefit me so she dug a little deeper, it turns out that the government is keen to kickstart the farming industry in the area - VERY keen actually. The long and the short of it is that I qualify for a grant - a very big grant.

I wont go into numbers but I will say it is a game changing amount of money - it's fair to say it will allow me to go way beyond where I am at right now. It's also fair to say I will not be spending anytime this week cutting down trees. Obviously I wont get the money overnight, Betty has already warned me that there will be a ton of paperwork and forms to fill out and of course a grant like this comes with conditions - I can't just take the money and spend on whatever I want.

But that suits me fine anyway - I want to make a go of this so yeah any financial help I get will absolutely be spent on building out the farm

And the good news gets even better, I have been texting and chatting with Charisma most evenings since I got back from Goldcrest and I think she is even more excited about the grant than I am - anyway she asked if I would be down for her to come and pay me a visit this weekend.

Of course I said yes - I have booked her in at Clarkes place so yeah I am super excited for the weekend now.

Hmmm - I better tidy up the caravan I guess.

I hope she isn't put off that I live in a caravan, it hasn't exactly come up in conversation. Shit I bet she expects me to have a house not a damn caravan.

Now I'm worrying - first impressions and all that.

Ok Randy time to put down the pen and step away from the journal - she will just have to take me as she finds me...

I'm still concerned though.
