So this week I have felt kinda subdued - yeah not what I was expecting to be feeling given all the good news I have recently had. I think it comes down to missing Charisma, text messages and phone calls are not the same, and just waiting waiting and more waiting for the grant to come through.
I spoke with Betty and my accountant and they are both telling me it is a done deal but like anything it takes time - i.e AGES to wade through all the red tape and form filling and submitting. So I got hold of a map of the area to scope out some possible sites for expansion, and to give me something else to think about.
Field 1 - unused
Field 2 - mine
Field 3 - unused
Silverrun
So currently mine is the only farm in Silverrun - plots one and two used to be farms but they were sold back to the township several years ago. My first thought was to just buy both plots. But. Plot one is a big field and with my field will give me a decent return on my money so I figured why not just buy that and also enquire about the plot of land above plot one.
It has easy access to both farms and would be ideal as a "home base".
Other than pondering over maps and dreaming of buying more land I can't say I have done much else - I just cannot get myself motivated to cut down more trees at the moment. I have spent a bit of time kicking back at the diner and I definitely should stop by the bookstore and grab some new reading material.
I guess I just need to take a step back and enjoy life - once the money comes through I will be VERY busy and the canola is coming along nicely so harvesting that will also take a lot of time, I will probably be moaning then that I am too busy. LOL.
Anyway I reckon I will pop out for a bite to eat and a drink.
