Horror - Silverrun Forest Episode 17

We have something to talk about for sure, but before I get into that lets talk farming.

More bloody stones

So I ran the harrow over the field and it has kicked up a load more bloody stones -YAY

I'm not even halfway through the field either so I know there will a lot more to come. It's bloody annoying but I just have to get my head down and deal with it, in the long run it will be worth it when my yield count is high (fingers and toes crossed).

Anyway now to the main talking point.

I met up with Charisma for a meal and her parents joined us, I was chatting about the farm with her dad and the building that is on MY land but owned by the township that no-one wants to talk about/

Her mum and dad definitely shared a look.

Turns out there is definitely a reason no-one wants to talk to me about it.

So a few years back a group of high schoolers held a Halloween party in a local dis-used mine, it was interrupted when a miner went crazy and killed and injured several kids. He was found in the building on my property along with the bodies of a couple of the kids and another body was found in the building on the other plot of land I nearly bought.

WOW

Anyway he was shot and killed by the sheriff at the time - BUT local legend apparently has his spirit coming back every Halloween.

I mean it certainly explains why we are in October and there is not a decoration or mention of Halloween anywhere in Silverrun. Do I believe his spirit is coming to haunt the town - of course not.

Am I pissed that no-one told me this when I was buying the land - ABSOLUTELY.

My first though was to charge down to town hall and have it out with Betty but then I mean after all she has done for me I kind of feel that I can't go in too hot.

I took a drive out to the mine instead - I don't know what I expected but it is just a closed down mine. I guess the question is would I have bought the land if I had known the back story? Honestly I do not know - I mean I would NOT stay in the building that much is for sure.

I think I need a few days to simmer down a little but I will speak to Betty and the Mayor about this.

Not the journal entry I was expecting this week...
