Keeping Busy - Silverrun Forest Episode 18

Published on 27 October 2024 at 13:43

Well I have two fields with crops in them at least - I figured the best way to stop thinking about the recent bombshell was to keep busy - yeah it's a cliche but it does work.

Well until you finish working of course. You know what though? I can't un-buy the field so ultimately I just have to learn to live with it, I mean it was years ago right? so I guess I just have to accept something bad happened on my land and move forward with life. I can't even sell it on now I am in deep with the Government grant so...

Field work

My god it took a lot of time to get the new field ready to use and then sowed but come harvest it will all be worth it. I went for wheat this time - I want to diversify so I am not just producing one crop across all my fields, it just gives me more options.

To that end and thinking to the future I want  a third field and will take a look at corn or maybe potatoes...and I am considering a small chicken holding.

Look I don't want to run before I can walk but I will start to see some good money come in at harvest and certainly expanding the farm is the way to go.

The canola is coming along nicely

I have spent some more money - mostly on plot three but also a couple of bits for myself - I will talk more about that next week.

The farm is growing though there is no doubt about that, I have doubled my fields and once the tarmac is down I will have a home base as well. It's exciting times for sure.

But there is also Charisma to think about. things are going well between us, really well, so I think I owe it to her to come clean about my past. She is coming over this weekend so yeah we will sit down and talk.

I have no idea how she will react but if we are going to take this further (and I really want to) I have to be honest, she needs to know the person I was as well as the person I now am.

Anyway that is enough for this week...
