Heartbreak - Silverrun Forest Episode 19

We have a lot to talk about this week journal - and I mean A LOT.

Where to begin though?

I guess I may as well start with Charisma - so we sat down and talked, well I talked and she listened, it didn't go well. She said she doesn't know how she feels about us, about me, after I told her everything. She went back to Goldcrest the same night and hasn't answered my calls or my messages. I don't blame her - she absolutely deserved to know about my past and as cut up as I am about the thought of never seeing her again telling her was the right thing to do.

At this point I don't think I will see her again but I cherish the time I did get to spend with her and I wish her nothing but good things. As hard as it is though I need to stay on top of everything here.

So I guess lets talk about what I have been buying.

So yes I did buy myself a few things - the old caravan did its job but it was never a long term thing and whilst I can't afford to buy a proper house yet this is an upgrade for sure...and YES I bought a new car. Sue me lol. Look the money will go on expanding the farm of course but I figure if I can't get a couple of things to make life a bit more comfortable what's the point?.

Talking of expanding the tarmac is done so now I can start getting in the buildings and equipment. I don't want to show it off just yet but it is coming along well and is definitely doing to be future proof.

Charisma would be so excited...

Chuck and the old timers did their best to cheer me up but it will take some time.

Anyway moving on - this is where it gets weird.

So obviously I have also been thinking about what happened on my land and yeah I did a bit of research into it - it was clearly a dark time for the town and the more I learn the more I understand why no-one wants to talk about it (absolutely no excuse for not telling me before I bought the land though). Anyway - Halloween night.

So I woke just after 3am, at first I didn't think anything of it until I heard a loud scraping noise - metal against metal a real harsh screech of a sound. I turned the light on but I couldn't see anything through the window. But. When I opened the door to step out (stupid I know) I could see the lights on in the house down the way.

I KNOW that place is locked up tight and I cannot imagine Betty giving the keys out to anyone - and who the hell would be in there at 3am anyway?. Obviously I went straight back in and locked the door.

Silverrun Forest Sheriff - Alan Pangborn

Clearly I didn't sleep much but the real kicker was the next morning when I came out to find footprints (not mine) around the caravan and leading towards the house and a fairly deep scratch mark on the side of the caravan.

I won't lie it really spooked me.

Anyway I went down to town hall to speak to the sheriff - I swear Betty went as white as a sheet when she heard what I said. Pangborn came out and took a good look around he said it's probably kids from a neighbouring town getting up to some Halloween hijinks. Obviously I don't believe that the miner who killed those kids was haunting my trailer but it shook me up good and proper.

Leaving all that aside next week will be very busy - the canola is ready for harvest so I hope that will take my mind off Charisma and murderous miners.

And that is as good a place as any to leave this weeks entry.
