Ok so we don't have any snow - yet - but it has definitely gotten a whole lot colder, I've heard the winter here can be a beast so YAY. Anyway the canola was a bust - honestly it's my fault, it's not the right time of year to be selling it but I needed the money so...
Next year I need to get in some silo's so I can store crops and sell when the prices are good. But that is a next year problem.
As for now I was going to pack the farm up for the year and take an extended Christmas break but crazy as it may be I have decided to put the pedal to the metal and get another harvest going - wheat in the small field and canola in the other.
Am I crazy?. Probably but a good work ethic is not a bad thing so yeah its going to full on for a couple of weeks and hopefully I will take December off to enjoy some festive spirit.
Apparently the town goes all out for Christmas, I guess it make's up for the lack of Halloween celebrations.
I'm really looking forward to it to be honest, as a kid my parents didn't really embrace Christmas - at all- and before I came to Silverrun I never really bothered with it myself but this year I will get a tree hang some decorations and get into the festive spirit.
Really there's not much to say this week, obviously still missing Charisma and still a bit spooked from Halloween - especially as I still see the scratch mark every time I go in and out of the caravan.
I think I will head into town and do a little shopping before everything closes up and perhaps a trip to waffle house for some food.
Oh yeah before I forget the farm is coming along leaps and bounds, the asphalt is down and the first buildings are in already - the guys have told me everything should be done by first week of December so fingers crossed.
